Engineering. A Path to Success.

 

Much of the jobs in today's society rely on the principles of engineering. A partner and I created this display case with the AutoCAD program Autodesk Inventor.  It is intended to model case that can hold, transport, and display an antique goblet in a museum.

 

The challenge provided by the conception of this display case is how all the parts must be related.  The frame must be big enough for the goblet to fit, yet the glass panels must not be too big to fit inside of the frame.  Analyzing how the dimensions fit together and still complied to the given contraints took a lot of communication between my partner and I.  The case went thoroughly through a step-by-step design process, and it became a successful and working assembly.
